Chris Zoidis is President and CEO of Atain Insurance Companies and a Group Executive Vice President at H.W. Kaufman Group. Chris is responsible for Atain’s growth initiatives, underwriting strategy and operations.

His expertise in insurance and risk management includes more 30 years of industry experience, specializing in underwriting management and insurance operations.

Chris joined Kaufman in 2007. Before leading Atain, he played an instrumental role in guiding Kaufman’s global acquisition strategy, with responsibility for expanding Kaufman’s presence throughout North America, the U.K. and Europe. Chris also managed the company’s underwriting portfolio with the Lloyd’s market and led a multitude of specialty underwriting programs and practice areas.

Previously, Chris spent nearly a decade in consulting with a focus on insurance strategy, underwriting, and mergers and acquisitions. He began his career as a Commercial Property & Casualty Underwriter at multiple insurance companies.

Chris holds a Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU) designation, a Registered Professional Liability Underwriter (RPLU) designation, along with a Michigan Property & Casualty License. He earned an MBA from Indiana University and a bachelor’s degree in economics from Boston College. Chris also studied at the London School of Economics.
