Taylor Smith is a Group Senior Vice President for H.W. Kaufman Group. In his role, he supports the growth of the organization through mergers and acquisitions and other strategic initiatives across all companies within the Kaufman network, including Burns & Wilcox.

Since joining Kaufman in 2016, Taylor has led the efforts for more than 10 transactions in the U.S., Canada and the U.K. and has been key in developing the overall strategy and operational implementation plans for each.

His corporate development skillset and entrepreneurial mindset earned him a place in the Kaufman Advanced Management Program (KAMP) and he now coaches associates participating in the company’s professional development programs. Taylor was previously recognized as a 2017 Young Guns by Insurance Business America.

Prior to his career at Kaufman, Taylor was an Engagement Manager at Deloitte Consulting. Part of the company’s mergers and acquisitions practice, he worked on domestic and international transactions for multi-billion-dollar public corporations across multiple industries.

Taylor holds a MBA from the University of Michigan’s Ross School of Business and a bachelor’s degree from Vanderbilt University.
